The Tashkeel Makerspace
This watercolor floral workshop is delivered over two sessions, guiding participants through the process of painting a beautiful floral bouquet using expressive and traditional techniques. Participants will learn two key watercolor methods - wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry - while gaining hands-on experience with the slanted watercolor brush to create graceful floral forms. The workshop also covers how to sketch outlines quickly and accurately, apply shading techniques to bring out depth and light, and compose a well-balanced bouquet.
In addition to Western watercolor fundamentals, the sessions introduce the composition principles of traditional Chinese flower painting and classic brushstroke techniques. By the end of the course, each participant will complete a richly layered, full-page floral bouquet ready for display.
