The first solo presentation by Owais Husain at 1X1 Art Gallery and in UAE. The show curated by Gaytri Sinha comprises of paintings, sculptures, installations, videos and poetry showcasing his oeuvre from past seven years.

The works focus and imbue on the ‘fragile’ expression that applies to our environment as well as to our wider social, cultural political surrounding and the spaces we inhabit. The artist meditates on the influences that have come to challenge our fabric of resilience. Over time our degrees of silence or ability to be muted has grown in decibel; like a dystopian movie, those who question speak only amongst themselves.

The soundless videos on show, speak of these nuances through moving images in a poetic manner. The moving image positions itself towards a hopeful future - like a bridge to navigate to the other side of the horizon.
