1x1 Art Gallery specialises in Indian modern and contemporary art. Founded by Malini Gulrajani in 1996, 1x1 is an important platform for both established and emerging artists.

The gallery supports its programme through structured collaborations with local and international galleries, art fairs, and museums, as well as with independent curators and art organisations. Publications are an integral part of 1x1’s programme, both documenting its exhibitions and promoting partnerships with art writers and cultural activators.

Over the the last few years, 1x1 has included Emirati and Middle East-based artists in its roster, embracing collaborative projects and initiatives with a predominantly cultural orientation. Founder Malini Gulrajani also consults on constituting major private collections.
