By the Movement of All Things | بِإيقاعِ كُلِّ شيئ

Lawrie Shabibi is pleased to present By the Movement of All Things, a group exhibition curated by Hamzeh Alfarahneh, featuring works by Igshaan Adams, Hamra Abbas, Diana Al-Hadid, James Webb, Bronwyn Katz, Timo Nasseri and Moshekwa Langa. The exhibition expands Alfarahneh’s ongoing inquiry into Global Majority abstraction by tracing resonances between South African and Middle Eastern non-figurative practices.

Framed through what the curator terms “structures of knowledge,” the exhibition explores gesture, movement, and vibration as conduits for embodied forms of knowing, proposing abstraction not as the absence of representation but as a site through which memory, lineage, and lived experience are preserved and transmitted.
