Lawrie Shabibi

Note: The gallery will be temporarily closed for summer renovations from July 18 - August 18 2022. The gallery can be viewed via appointments that can be booked via Lawrie Shabibi's online channels.

A forerunner in the growth of the contemporary art scene in Dubai, Lawrie Shabibi supports the development of the careers of young contemporary artists, with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa.

The gallery also hosts art historical exhibitions, working with an older generation of artists from the region. The gallery has successfully introduced international artists to the region, while also presenting Middle Eastern artists to the international contemporary arts community. Founded by Will Lawrie and Asmaa Shabibi, the gallery roster includes Hamra Abbas, Adel Abidin, Maliheh Afnan, Farhad Ahrarnia, Oliver Clegg, Mounir Fatmi, Asad Faulwell, Nadia Kaabi-Linke, Yazan Khalili, Nabil Nahas, Driss Ouadahi, Shahpour Pouyan, Nathaniel Rackowe, Larissa Sansour, and Mona Saudi, among others.
