Lima-based Ishmael Randall Weeks explores cultural displacement and new urbanistic identities
Lima-based Ishmael Randall Weeks presents his much anticipated sculptures and two dimensional works that explore the impact of cultural displacement and the rise of new urbanistic identities. Made from recycled adobe, mineral substrates, rattan screens, mud, glass and metal, his works depict a world that navigates between the archaic and the contemporary, deconstructing notions of structure, fragility, form, popular culture and identity within the context of new cities.
