About the Author: Abhishek Majumdar is an esteemed writer, director, and scenographer whose works span theatre, film, and opera. His plays, written in multiple languages, have been performed worldwide, and his books published by prestigious publishers such as Bloomsbury and Penguin India. Currently, he serves as Associate Arts Professor and Program Head of Theater at NYU Abu Dhabi, while also leading Nalanda Arts Studio in Bangalore.

About the Moderator: Paulo Lemos Horta is an Associate Professor at NYU Abu Dhabi and a renowned scholar in world literature. He has written several acclaimed books on 1001 Nights, including Marvellous Thieves: Secret Authors of the Arabian Nights and, with Yasmine Seale, Aladdin and The Annotated Arabian Nights. His expertise and passion for cross-cultural narratives make him an ideal moderator for this evening's discussion.
