Antevasin—The One Who Sits At The Border Of Two Worlds

Richi Bhatia’s multimedia practice explores the porous borders between life and death, body and commodity, human and nonhuman. Grounded in personal and ethnographic experience, her work challenges gender norms, labour conditions, and food systems across transnational spaces. As an Antevasin—one who sits at the border of two worlds—Bhatia invites us into uncomfortable but necessary reflections on the body and its sensory agencies through violence, intimacy, and animal transformation.
