Alserkal Lates is part of Alserkal Art Week which takes place from 26 February - 5 March.
Alserkal Art Week takes place twice a year at Alserkal Avenue, the region’s most-loved arts and culture district. During the week, the Avenue celebrates contemporary art with a line-up of gallery exhibitions showcasing some of the most compelling and influential contemporary artists from the region and beyond.
Running from 26 February to 5 March 2023, this spring’s iteration is set to delight the curious with Dappled Light, Rana Begum’s solo exhibition at Concrete, in addition to exhibitions in the Avenue’s 15+ contemporary art galleries. Visitors can also enjoy Alserkal Lates on 28 February (10AM- 10PM), Majlis Talks, Slow Art Walks by curators, open studios, and more, during what promises to be a week of intriguing discourse, meaningful connections, and thought-provoking art.

Majlis Talks, curated by Mahnaz Fancy, bring together artists, curators, researchers and art-world professionals for an evening of thoughtful and inspiring conversations.
The majlis has always provided the necessary form to plant the seeds of connections; a common ground for discussion and sharing. From the majlis we begin a convergence of differences, mingling vantage points, allowing new questions to rise.
Starting at 4pm on 28 February 2023 and running across six 25-minute sessions, this year’s Majlis Talks will see conversations with Fatima Ali, Lubnah Ansari, Loa Haagen Pictet, Nadine Abdel Ghaffar, Sara Raza, Rana Begum, Dr Cliff Lauson and more.
