Concrete is a blank canvas with limitless configurations. A multi-disciplinary space designed by the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), Concrete has been shortlisted for the 2019 Aga Khan Award for Architecture.
A multi-disciplinary and responsive space that was created with the capacity to present large-scale art exhibitions, symposia, conferences, conceptual fashion presentations, film screenings, and corporate experiences, as well as private functions. Concrete has hosted world-renowned institutions, leading educational and cultural networks, and iconic luxury brands.
Concrete is an iconic building, and the very first project to be completed by the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), founded by Pritzker Prize winning architect Rem Koolhaas, in the UAE. Concrete is the first building in the history of Dubai to be shortlisted for the prestigious Aga Khan Award for Architecture.

Concrete hosts large-scale art exhibitions, symposia, conferences, conceptual fashion presentations, film screenings, award ceremonies, meetings, and corporate experiences, as well as private functions. The transformable 600-square-metre space boasts double-height ceilings, 4 movable soundproof walls, skylights, and translucent 8-metre-high facade doors that lead out onto The Yard (our outdoor venue measuring 1,400 square metres)—creating a unique opportunity for an indoor-outdoor symbiotic experience. Concrete provides professional, museum-grade lighting and an ambient sound system to create bespoke events across art, design, fashion, and the performing arts.
With multiple configurations, the 600-square-metre space has double-height ceilings, movable soundproof walls, skylights, and translucent 8-metre-high facade doors. Professional museum-grade lighting, built-in video projections, and an ambient sound system with wireless connectivity are provided to create bespoke experiences across art, design, fashion, and performance events.
