We are looking for a creative and strategic social media executive to oversee the public profile of Alserkal Arts Foundation. The social media executive will be embedded within the Alserkal Arts Foundation team to live and breathe their values. They will be in charge of creating engaging content and managing the social media community.

The social media executive will report to the Communications Manager and work closely with the Foundation team.

Responsibilities

• Developing engaging social media strategies.

• Managing social media platforms of the organization.

• Scheduling social media posts.

• Community management (responding to messages, comments, requests).

• Ensuring posting is done on time.

• Coordinating internal approvals for social media assets.

• Creating content for social (including reels, posts and stories)

• Supporting content management for web platforms.

• Monitoring social media engagement rate and preparing reports.

• Analyzing social media trends.

• Staying up to date with the Foundation’s alumni network and collaborators through our channel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, or a related field.

• Proven work experience managing social media.

• Excellent knowledge of research requirements for social media strategy.

• Displays an interest and knowledge of the local and regional art and culture landscape.

• Passionate about working with and building a community of artists and scholars.

• Experimental approach to social media content.

• Sound knowledge of social media scheduling platforms such as Later.

• Strong team player.

• Creative content writing and editing skills.

• Experienced in making video content.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to work after hours and on weekends to support programming as required.

• Tenacious and motivated to make an impact in the contemporary arts sector.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• A keen eye for details.

• Fluency in Arabic is a plus.

• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is a plus.
