Essential Functions & Objectives

The Partnership and Sponsorship Manager role is a key position within the Alserkal team, focusing on business development and relationship management with existing and potential partners/sponsors that fit well with and strengthen the Alserkal brand. The role is responsible for executing special initiatives undertaken by the Alserkal brand that broaden the scope of Alserkal as a business. The Director of Partnerships is responsible for ensuring that all elements relating to their projects are accounted for and delivered.

This full-time position reports directly to the Director of Events, Sponsorship and Partnerships at Alserkal.

Key Responsibilities:

The Partnership & Sponsorship Manager identifies opportunities to make Alserkal’s programs attractive for partners and sponsors, manages the client relationships and delivery of both financial and non-financial targets.

  • Work with the Director of Partnerships, to develop a strategy for commercializing community events and identify opportunities for incremental revenue with existing and potential partners

  • Secure sponsorship for Alserkal owned events including Quoz Arts Fest, Alserkal Art Weeks Collectors Programme, What the food and any other key, owned commercial moments in the calendar by securing sponsorship. Help to create sponsorship and partnership opportunities and offerings for key moments in the calendar year

  • Contribute to the setting and delivery of annual budgets for partnerships and owned events, aligning with the overall business strategy, ensuring that cost-saving measures and innovative solutions are proposed where possible

  • Outreach to suitable clients, brands and Institutions who are suitable partners or sponsors for our programming calendar and activities

  • Actively develop Alserkal’s sponsorship pipeline and ensure targets are met and exceeded

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to creative opportunities a cohesive communications plan that emphasizes and brings home Alserkal’s positioning as the UAE’s most exclusive events partner

  • Responsible for the delivery of collateral and communication assets required to pursue sales

  • Responsible for post wrap up reports for clients

  • Focus on business development that adds new clients to the Alserkal database and helps build pipelines

  • Build new client relationships for repeat business

  • Support to build out appropriate activations and opportunities

  • Ensure timely response to inquiries

  • Responsible for legal contracts and financial compliance, including but not limited to

    budget management and financial forecasting

  • Responsible for gathering insights, presenting analysis and identifying opportunities


Required skills + experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment in a related field

  • Educated to a Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent and holding relevant professional qualifications.

  • Must have experience in brand and corporate partnerships

  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills

  • Excellent communication and reporting skills

  • Excellent follow-through and negotiation skills

  • Business development experience

  • Lead generation through email, code call, social among networking events

  • A proven track record in sales, client management, project management and the delivery of projects with budgets exceeding AED 500,000

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to develop strategic imperatives based on business analytics whilst driving practical value add solutions

  • Strong understanding of sales and business fundamentals and drivers of financial, service and operational success

  • Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once while ensuring highest quality execution possible within deadlines and ability to deliver against targets

  • Work experience in the GCC or wider region desirable

  • Ability to develop positive, cooperative relationships across functional boundaries.

  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work within an ambiguous constantly changing environment


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, from 10am to 6pm. Weekends and overtime might be required during intense periods and/or during special projects and events.
