Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled IT Support Intern to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have some basic experience in IT support or a similar role and will assist in providing technical assistance and support for daily incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. This role also offers exposure to audio-visual (AV) systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Log support requests and track issues using the IT ticketing system.
• Provide first-level support to users via in-person, phone, or remote tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Ensure timely escalation of unresolved issues to senior team members.
• Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and applications.
• Assist with setting up new workstations and devices.
• Help with the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of AV equipment (projectors, microphones, video conferencing systems, etc.)
• Document technical issues and resolutions for future reference.
• Support IT/AV team with ongoing projects and system upgrades.
• Maintain inventory of IT/AV equipment and software licenses.
• Perform routine system updates and maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing or completed a degree/diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic experience in IT related troubleshooting hardware (laptops, printers, etc.) and software
issues.(internships/freelance work also considered).
• Good understanding of various computer systems, mobile devices, and networking.
• Good knowledge of Windows, macOS operating systems, Microsoft & Google Office products.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowldge and Familiarity in AV technologies is a plus.
Position type and expected hours of work
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, from 10am to 5pm. Saturdays, Sundays and overtime might be required during intense periods and/or during special projects and events.
