We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative Content & PR Executive to join Alserkal Initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing content campaigns across all business units and projects. The position requires a strong command of English, with exceptional skills in creative content writing and storytelling, and a passion for making art accessible to all. You should thrive in a high-intensity environment and have a proven track record of delivering editorial projects from concept to publication, including commissioning and managing multimedia content. A fresh perspective on delivering key messages and a deep enthusiasm for storytelling are essential. This full-time role reports directly to the Associate Director Content at Alserkal.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a content strategy for all Alserkal platforms, ensuring a cohesive journey from the website to social media, newsletters, and offline touchpoints.

  • Ensure consistent application of the style guide across all communications and assist in implementing the brand’s tone of voice across all subsidiaries.

  • Storyboard and create narratives for brand videos and social media content.

  • Oversee the editorial calendar, commission freelance work, write articles, manage video and podcast production, and liaise with retained social media agencies on coordination activities.

  • Work with the Associate Director Content to craft key messages for Alserkal and its initiatives, including developing content for spokespeople when needed.

  • Generate ideas for senior stakeholders in the business, including Founder and Executive Director, to stay top of mind with press, locally, regionally and internationally.

  • Engage in press and media relations for Alserkal locally, regionally and internationally, building the database and looking to further build the reputation of Alserkal and its spokespeople.

  • Draft and edit corporate communications such as letters, speeches, profiles, and case studies and all press materials, including press releases, interviews, and speeches.

  • Community communications for Alserkal Avenue community members, gathering content, liaising on press and social media, and working with the community relations team to inform them about news, marketing campaigns and initiatives and garner their support.

  • Management of all aspects of press trips, including but not limited to the creation of schedules for press visits, transportation, dining, and liaison with members of press on a press trip, in coordination with the VIP and outreach Manager.

  • Fielding any press enquiries, and liaising with stakeholders to ensure responses are drafted on brand and then approved and shared in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with freelancers and agencies, writing briefs, reviewing proposals, and ensuring contract compliance.

  • Review visitor analytics, make data-driven improvements. Create and share monthly PR reports and analysis with the marketing team and other stakeholders.


Knowledge & Education

  • 2+ years’ experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • Strong editorial, copywriting and content creation experience

  • Experience of developing and managing multimedia content

  • Educated to a Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent and holding relevant professional qualifications in Writing/Marketing/Communications/Public Relations/ or similar

  • A demonstrable understanding of, and commitment to arts and culture within the MEASA region

  • Resilient and comfortable working under pressure

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects at once, while ensuring the highest quality execution possible within the initial deadlines set

  • Confident and outgoing, used to networking and substantial experience in outward-facing roles

  • Well-spoken, with great presentation and communication skills

  • Innovative and entrepreneurial in their approach, always looking for ways to improve our offering

  • Enthusiastic and engaged, actively seeking feedback on his/her performance and behaviour in order to continually improve the performance, and seeking out opportunities to learn, grow and develop.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and overtime may be required during peak periods and/or for special projects and events.
