Part of What The Food
A two day experimental workshop
In this two-day workshop participants are transported to our childhood home, connecting and bonding with their ancestors as they draw the details that made their home kitchen, what did it look like? How did our ancestors eat? What tools did they use and why have they faded or gotten harder to obtain? Participants will reflect on one item from their kitchen or dining table from the past, present or future that is authentic to their identity and the story they wish to tell.
Away from mass-produced and highly commercialised kitchen gadgets and trending recipes and kitchen hacks, using a variety of mixed media materials, participants will create an object of their choice and weave an intimate yet inviting experience to tell our story together.
