Join us for an intimate discussion between co-editors Maya Allison, curator of the National Pavilion UAE 2022 exhibition and Executive Director of The New York University Abu Dhabi Art Gallery, and Cristiana de Marchi, artist, curator, and poet, on the making of the first comprehensive publication on Emirati artist, Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim. The publication covers the years of in-depth research and personal interactions with the artist from regional and international cultural vanguards that have helped to trace his rise as one of the leading experimental artists of the UAE. Commissioned by National Pavilion UAE - La Biennale di Venezia for its current exhibition at the 59th International Art Exhibition in Venice, Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim: Between Sunrise and Sunset and is curated by Maya Allison, the book is published by Kaph Books and is available in English and Arabic. Limited copies will be available at the event on a first come first serve basis.
