We are thrilled to unveil "Taking L's," the latest exhibition by the remarkable Charmaine Chanakira. This exhibition is a vibrant testament to the power of art as a medium for self-discovery, resilience, and empowerment.

Zimbabwean-born and London-raised, Charmaine is an Afro-expressionist painter whose self-taught journey in art has led her to challenge perceptions and open dialogues around identity, mental health, and the black experience in the UK. Through her art, Charmaine invites us to explore the layers of our consciousness, using a unique blend of neo-expressionism, Japanese Manga, Pop Art, and African art influences.

"Taking L's" delves into the themes of loss, love, and learning, offering a narrative that celebrates the strength found in vulnerability and the joy of overcoming adversity. Charmaine's collection is a reflection of her personal journey, encapsulating the essence of embracing life's challenges with courage and grace.

Each piece in this exhibition serves as a milestone, a story of resilience, and a celebration of the transformative power of art. From the bold hues and playful doodles to the profound symbolism, Charmaine's work is a mirror to our innermost thoughts and feelings, inviting viewers into a captivating world of artistic exploration.

The Exclusive Exhibition Launch will take place on Tuesday, 27th February, from 6 pm to 9 pm. This is a unique opportunity to meet Charmaine in person and experience her compelling narrative through art.
