Slow art walks are aligned to ‘alternative ways of being’ and mindfulness - taking the time to slow down and reflect: don’t rush to unpack or understand. The aim is to de-intimidate art by making it about material and feeling over meaning and to focus on a few works rather than a take-it-all-in approach. The tours can be organised around specific thematics; for example In 2021, they were organised around the themes of representation and moving.

Sarah Daher is an independent curator and writer based in Dubai. Her curatorial practice is informed by her background in social practice and performance studies. She is the co-host of Khosh Bosh, a local podcast, currently in its second season, that maps the UAE's cultural landscape through conversations with creatives of various disciplines.
