Curator Himanshu Kadam leads a Slow Art Walk on Alserkal Lates.
'Sensory Infrastructure'! Will be an exploration of the networks of cracks in the ageing infrastructure of possibilities, wakefulness, and of density that we encounter in our everyday reality.
The walk through will include the following exhibitions: Ishara Art Foundation's "Only Life, Myriad Places" by Sudarshan Shetty, Green Art Gallery's "Ground" by Afra Al Dhaheri and Volte Art Gallery's "To see a world in a grain of sand..." by Shambhavi Singh
Himanshu Kadam is Curator of Programmes at Ishara Art Foundation. Prior joining Ishara, he was a Curator of Collections at the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum in Mumbai, India He has co-authored a book published by HarperCollins, Mumbai: A City Through Objects: 101 Stories from the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum (2022).
Aligned with ‘alternative ways of being’ and mindfulness, Slow Art Walks invite visitors to take the time to slow down and reflect, not to rush, but to take time to unpack and understand.
