Join Farah Fawzi Ali’s Book Reading Group on October 5 at Al Serkal Avenue for an engaging discussion of selected chapters from "Eastern Heathens: An Anthology of Subverted Asian Folklore." Farah Ali has chosen four intriguing chapters for this session, offering fresh takes on beloved Asian legends. The selected chapters include "The Dragon Prince's Letter to His Father," "A Penunggu Story," "A Girl and a Guy in a Kijang in Kemang," and "Tenali Raman Redux." These stories reinvigorate traditional folklore with modern sensibilities, blending rich heritage with contemporary wit. Sign up to receive your chapters and join us for an evening exploring these imaginative and subversive tales.

This session is in collaboration with Emirates Literature Foundation.
