Ishara Art Foundation presents Ayesha Sultana’s first public talk in the UAE. Moderated by Nour Hassan, Egyptian-Saudi Arabian journalist and host of the Radical Contemporary Podcast in conversation with Sabih Ahmed, Director of Ishara, the artist presentation offers insights into the materials, techniques and concepts behind Sultana’s unique approach to art.

Sultana’s work examines the complex relationship between the human body and the natural world. Attendees will have a special opportunity to hear her speak about her hand-blown glass sculptures and watercolour paintings on tissue paper, displayed for the first time at Ishara.

A recording of the conversation will air as Episode 3 of the Ishara x RC Podcast Series, presented by Ishara in collaboration with Radical Contemporary. The series features different perspectives on the significance of South Asian voices in contemporary art.

This event is a companion to the exhibition Ayesha Sultana: Fragility and Resilience, currently on view at the Ishara Art Foundation. The programme will be conducted in English.
