Job description

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join a dynamic team. With a role that bridges digital, campaigns and communications, this would suit a resilient and entrepreneurial person that thrives in a busy and high intensity environment and who has strong project management skills. Key activities will include managing all marketing touchpoints, including creating and delivering marketing campaigns, digital marketing and social media, developing partnerships, and managing our online presence.

Essential Functions & Objectives

The Marketing team is a central team within the organisation, and is responsible for the marketing and reputation of Alserkal, Alserkal Avenue, Alserkal Arts Foundation and Alserkal Advisory. The Marketing Manager plays an instrumental role in delivering projects, and meeting objectives across the organisation, including campaign development and delivery, event marketing, PR & media relations, partnership development, social media, partnerships, digital marketing, advertising and our alserkal.online platform. High standards and integrity are crucial components, along with the ability to deliver multiple projects simultaneously under pressure.

This full-time position reports directly to the Associate Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities include:

Marketing campaigns and delivery

• Create 360-degree marketing campaigns for events and initiatives as required, setting targets, continually monitoring progress, and reporting against ROI

• Create and deliver B2B marketing campaigns for Alserkal Advisory

• Responsible for ownership and project management of Marketing projects

• Oversee social media strategy, ensuring this is delivered to increase brand cohesion

• Create and execute advertising plan for events and initiatives, seeking to communicate with target audiences and broaden reach

• Develop marketing and media partnerships to maximise campaign reach

• Communications liaison with Alserkal Avenue community members to amplify campaigns and promote their services

• Gather and analyse visitor insights, with findings shared and actioned to improve the visitor experience

• Work closely with Head of Brand & Design to ensure design solutions are fit for marketing purposes

Digital Marketing

• Work with social media agency/team member to ensure posts are on-brand and on-message, with minimal errors, and growing following and engagement

• Create and oversee influencer engagement for Alserkal

• Ensure alserkal.online is continually updated with relevant content and delivers against targets

• Manage paid digital advertising campaigns, including paid social media and Google Ads, setting budgets, reviewing content, analysing reports and ensuring learnings are taken into account to continually improve ROI against spend

• Manage Alserkal’s online presence, including regular monitoring of review sites, Google Business and other touchpoints

• Manage newsletter strategy and delivery, ensuring regular newsletters are sent via Pardot with fresh content and delivering key messages

• Responsible for ensuring digital marketing initiatives drive leads for the business, from event footfall to leasing and Alserkal Advisory enquiries

PR & Communications

• Engage in press and media relations for Alserkal locally, regionally and internationally, building the database and looking to further build the reputation of Alserkal and its spokespeople

• Internal communications for the Alserkal team, informing them about marketing campaigns and initiatives in a timely manner

• Community communications for Alserkal Avenue community members, working with the relevant team to inform them about news, marketing campaigns and initiatives and garner their support

• Oversee all copywriting, editing and proofreading for Alserkal as required, for both internal and external use, including but not limited to website copy, social media content, internal communications, pitches and presentations, event programmes and leaflets, signage and wayfinding, ensuring that copy developed adheres to tone of voice guidelines

Database & VIP Communications

• Liaise with VIP External Consultant for Alserkal, sharing information and ensuring VIPs are communicated with in a regular and appropriate manner

• Oversee any VIP event guestlists, invitations and RSVPs, as well as gifting, working with VIP External Consultant

• Oversee growth of overall Alserkal database, with regular database cleanses and information-gathering campaigns in place

Team Management

• Manage Communications Executive, leading and inspiring them, and conducting reviews in a timely manner

• Work with third party freelancers and agencies as required, writing briefs, reviewing proposals and ensuring work delivered is as per contract

Knowledge & Education

• Educated to a Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent and holding relevant professional qualifications in Marketing/Communications/Public Relations/Business Management or similar

• Strong digital marketing and campaign experience

• Experience developing and managing marketing partnerships

• A demonstrable understanding of, and commitment to arts and culture within the MEASA region

• 10+ years’ experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full time position. Days and hours of work are Sunday through Thursday, from 10am to 6pm, with Saturdays and/or overtime required during busy times or leading up to projects.
